ABOUT TIM SHAW

My Story

Tim is an experienced musician who learned his trade in the UK, and has an extensive experience in live performance, recording and teaching guitar.

Tim wrote and recorded two singles in the 1980s ‘Shoot The Lights Out’ and ‘Strange World’, and as well as playing guitars on these recordings also sang the lead vocal. ‘Shoot The Lights Out’ featured on Television, the number one national radio station ‘Radio One’, was featured in the press and was also placed on the playlist of the regional radio station ‘Radio Tees’.

Tim has played in an array of live bands for over 30 years covering a large variety and styles of music from country to Heavy Rock.

Tim became a qualified teacher in August 1999 when he attained the City & Guilds National Vocational Qualification Teaching Certificate. He is also currently a company Director for Bespoke Entertainment Australia Pty Ltd, actively working and supplying top quality entertainers for weddings and high profile corporate events throughout South East Queensland. Tim has a great passion for teaching out of his home studio and at Pimpama State Secondary School and aims to make each lesson fun and enjoyable for his students.
